Terms of Service

1. Agreement to Terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) form a legally binding agreement between you (“you” or “user”) and PPTAutomate (“we,” “us,” or “our”) governing your access to and use of PPTAutomate.com and all associated services, APIs, and applications.

By creating an account or using the Service you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

PPTAutomate is a PowerPoint template automation platform. The core workflow is:

1. You upload a .pptx template to register it with the system.
2. Our engine reverse-engineers the template’s structure — detecting text boxes, images, tables, charts, and named shapes.
3. You define mappings between your data sources (documents, structured data, URLs) and the template’s shapes.
4. PPTAutomate generates a filled .pptx presentation preserving all original formatting.

Additional features include AI-powered Copilot for interactive editing, smart auto-mapping, headless API access via API keys, and multi-format content support.

3. Accounts and API Keys

To use PPTAutomate you must create an account with a valid email address. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

You may generate API keys for programmatic access to the Service. API keys must be kept secret; treat them like passwords. We store only a cryptographic hash of each key. If a key is compromised, revoke it immediately from your dashboard. API key usage counts toward your account’s monthly generation quota.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or engage in abuse of the Service.

4. Subscriptions and Billing

PPTAutomate offers a Free plan and paid plans (Pro, monthly or yearly). Paid subscriptions are billed in advance. All payments are processed by Dodo Payments; your payment method details are held by them, not by us.

Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time from your dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you retain access to paid features until then.

Refunds: Payments are generally non-refundable. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us at support@pptautomate.com within 14 days of the charge and we will review the request.

We reserve the right to change plan pricing. Existing subscribers will receive at least 30 days’ advance notice before a price increase takes effect.

5. Quotas and Service Limits

Each plan includes a monthly generation quota and a storage limit:

• Free: 50 generations/month, 100 MB storage
• Pro: higher generation and storage limits per the current pricing page
• Founding Member: 2 GB storage, legacy plan

Generation quotas reset at the start of each billing cycle. Unused generations do not roll over.

Generated .pptx files are automatically deleted approximately 24 hours after creation. Download your output before this window closes. Template files you register persist until you delete them or close your account, subject to your storage quota.

6. Your Content and Intellectual Property

You retain all ownership rights to the templates, documents, data, and output files you create using PPTAutomate (“Your Content”). By uploading content you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to store, process, and transmit it solely to provide the Service to you.

You represent and warrant that:

• You own or have the necessary rights to upload and process Your Content.
• Your Content does not infringe the intellectual property, privacy, or other rights of any third party.
• Your Content complies with all applicable laws and regulations.

We do not claim ownership of Your Content and do not use it to train our own AI models.

7. AI Features

PPTAutomate’s AI features (Copilot, smart mapping, suggestions) route your instructions and relevant template content to third-party AI providers — Anthropic, OpenAI, and Google — depending on the feature used. By using AI features you acknowledge and agree that:

• Your inputs may be transmitted to and processed by these providers under their own terms and privacy policies.
• AI outputs are generated probabilistically and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate for your specific use case. You are responsible for reviewing and validating all AI-generated content before use.
• Do not submit confidential, sensitive, or personal data through AI features without first reviewing the relevant provider’s data handling policies.

8. Prohibited Activities

You agree not to:

• Upload templates or content that infringe third-party intellectual property rights, including copyrighted PowerPoint templates you do not have rights to use.
• Use the Service to generate presentations containing illegal, harmful, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable content.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract our proprietary algorithms or source code.
• Circumvent, disable, or otherwise interfere with security features, rate limits, or quotas.
• Share API keys publicly or allow unauthorised third parties to use your account or keys.
• Use the Service in any manner that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair our infrastructure.
• Resell or sublicense access to the Service without written permission from us.

9. Our Intellectual Property

The PPTAutomate platform — including its source code, UI designs, algorithms, trademarks, and all content we create — is our proprietary property and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Nothing in these Terms transfers any ownership rights in the platform to you. You receive a limited, non-transferable licence to access and use the Service as described here.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT AI-GENERATED OUTPUTS WILL BE ACCURATE OR SUITABLE FOR YOUR NEEDS.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PPTAUTOMATE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES — INCLUDING LOSS OF DATA, LOST PROFITS, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION — ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID TO US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date above. Material changes will be communicated via email or an in-app notice. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
